Your local councillors

All councils are led by democratically elected councillors. They set the vision and direction for the council, and represent their local community. They must live in the community to be able to represent it.

A councillor’s responsibilities include:

  • representing the ward for which they are elected
  • decision-making – developing and reviewing council policy
  • scrutinising decisions taken by the councillors on the executive or cabinet
  • regulatory, quasi-judicial and statutory duties

These are your local councillors. They represent Hayes, Keston Village and Coney Hall.
