What we do

Coney Hall is a village in the borough of Bromley. The Residents’ Association (called CHVRA for short) was formed in 1938. We’re non-political and run on a voluntary basis by local residents. If you live in the local area, we’re here for you.

What CHVRA does

What is a residents’ association?

Usually residents’ associations are community groups made up of local people acting in a voluntary capacity to promote and defend the interests of residents in their area. Find out more about their roles and responsibilities.

The origins of CHVRA

Coney Hall Farm was first mentioned in the 17th century, when its lease stated that the tenant had the sole right to catch coneys (rabbits) on nearby Jackson’s Heath. We’ve come a long way since then! Previous committee chairman John Stone explains the origin of our residents’ association.
