The councillors have let us know that there were two leaks at Masons Hill. The first has been repaired and the second repair is in progress. Thames Water has now put temporary four way signals in place, incorporating the junction of Homesdale Road and Hayes Lane:
- Homesdale Road – Traffic exiting Homesdale Road can only turn left towards Bromley Common or into Hayes Lane. No right turn available towards Masons Hill.
- Bromley Common – Traffic exiting Bromley Common can only turn left into Hayes Lane or travel straight ahead into Masons Hill. No right turn available into Homesdale Road
- Hayes Lane – Traffic can only turn left towards Masons Hill or right towards Bromley Common. No access to Homesdale Road from Hayes Lane.
- Masons Hill – Traffic exiting Masons Hill can turn left into Homesdale Road, straight ahead into Bromley Common and right into Hayes Lane.
All bus diversions have been removed, apart from the 336 bus route.
The works are likely to remain in place until the end of the weekend (Sunday 1 November). If you can avoid that area, it’s probably a good idea.
There will also be temporary traffic signals at Leaves Green Road and Westerham Road, Keston for one night on Monday 2 November while they complete remedial works to the resurfaced carriageway.
The temporary signals will be in place outside 60 Leaves Green Road and approx. 60m from the junction of Church Road on Westerham Road from 8pm on Monday until 5am on Tuesday 3 November.
