An email from Met Engage says that on the morning of Friday 4 September, officers from Local Police teams engaged in a speed operation around the Hayes area, including Hayes Lane, Mead Way and Heathfield Road.
Over the next week, they will be looking other roads across the ward. Officers will be out at different times of day, and on different days of the week, checking for cars which are speeding. As always, please take care to drive within the speed limit.
Enforcement cameras are also being installed at several yellow box junctions around the borough, and motorists found to be driving into the boxes incorrectly will be fined. For the first 14 days of enforcement, any vehicle captured stopping within the box junction will be issued with a warning notice. If this happens after the 14 day grace period, they will receive a fine.
