Developers are in the early stages of preparing a proposal for 46 new homes at the top of Layhams Road, where it meets King Henry’s Drive and Sheepbarn Lane. (The site is currently marked on the map as the “Mutleys Crew” field.)
The land has been owned by P. Johnson & Son for many years, and they are now preparing an Outline Planning Application for a residential development of 46 homes. As they are at the start of the process, no planning application has been submitted yet – the developers are sharing their initial proposals and inviting local input.
A public engagement event is planned for 16 July 2026, to introduce the site, talk through their ideas, and invite local people to help shape the proposals.
Date: 16 July 2026
Time: 3pm to 7pm
Location: Keston Parish Church Hall, Church Road, Keston, BR2 6HT
The developers hope to submit the planning application to the Council later this year. For those unable to attend the event, a project website will go live on 16 July at www.LayhamsRoad-engagement.co.uk.
At the time of writing, the website has a PDF with a brief outline of the proposals.
