Bromley council are exploring how they can improve support for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as they prepare for adulthood.
They want to hear directly from young people aged 16 to 25 with SEND, alongside parents and carers, about their experiences of moving into adulthood and adult services. The insights gathered will help shape and improve services across Bromley.
Why this matters
Preparing for adulthood, often called ‘transition’, is a key stage for young people with SEND. Through this Big Conversation, they want to better understand:
- What a good life looks like for young people now and in the future
- What is working well in current support
- What could be improved
- What additional support may be needed
How to take part
- Complete the short online survey
- Contact Community Catalysts to explore other ways to get involved, including in-person events: Debbie.John@communitycatalysts.co.uk

They are also running a survey on improving vaccination services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Parents and carers of children and young people with SEND are invited to share their experiences with vaccinations services in the borough. Feedback gathered from the survey will help inform future service planning and improvements.
