This year’s Open Gardens event in Coney Hall is on Saturday 6 June, from 12-5pm. Organised by the brilliant folks at EACH (Environmental Action Coney Hall) it’s a fantastic opportunity to look at the ways people in Coney Hall are making their gardens not only beautiful, but welcoming habitats for wildlife.
Last year’s event was a lot of fun, and whether you’re a keen gardener or not, there was something for everyone. From wild gardens full of native plants, to carefully curated gardens that wouldn’t look out of place in a magazine’s photoshoot, there were places for nature and for people.
If you are a keen gardener it’s a good opportunity to get some tips and ideas about what’s most likely to thrive in the conditions we share here in Coney Hall.
If you’re not a keen gardener it’s a good way to see all the peaceful places people have created for sitting in the garden, and find out how to give the garden over to nature in the best ways possible.
And either way, it’s a great way to meet people in this neighbourhood we call home.
