Free comedy and connection workshops

You may have noticed that we like to share news about things that get people together. Despite smartphones and the internet connecting us with people halfway (or all the way!) around the world, it’s still as easy as it’s ever been to feel isolated or alone. This time we’re sharing a different way to tackle that: free comedy workshops.

Bromley.lol is a free programme bringing laughter, creativity and connection to through a series of uplifting wellbeing events. Delivered by awardwinning comedian Carly Smallman and trained laughter therapist Sally Dixey, the programme includes:

  • Bring Your Own Baby Comedy shows and workshops for parents and carers
  • Stand Up and Shine comedy workshops for women
  • Gaia Wellbeing Laughter Therapy sessions open to all adults

All events are free to attend, suitable for adults aged 18+, and take place at central Bromley venues.

Comedy and laughter have been shown to reduce stress, boost confidence, improve mood and strengthen social connection. Bromley.lol aims to tackle loneliness, support mental wellbeing, and help local people connect through shared laughter.

Participants have described the workshops as “one of the best experiences of my life”, saying they felt more confident, less isolated, and better equipped to cope with life’s challenges. Find out more.
