A proposal to build up to 2,200 new homes
Berkeley Homes is proposing a new development of up to 2,200 new homes in Bromley. On 18 November 2025, they held an open consultation for people to view their proposals and submit their feedback. Berkeley Homes said that 1,003 people attended, and that 39% of residents supported their initial proposals. On 28 February 2026, the councillors made it clear that they were opposed to this development.
On 22 March, more than 500 local residents gathered for a public walk in protest against the development, and they were joined by Bromley Council leader Colin Smith, MP Peter Fortune and councillors from multiple parties.
Berkeley Homes held a second round of consultation which ended on 27 March. The results have not been published yet.
