Intentional Women’s Day NHS Health Talks

Tuesday 10 March
11am to 2pm
Bromley Adult Education College
Kentwood Centre, Kingsdale Road, SE20 7PR

Join One Bromley on Tuesday 10 March for NHS women’s health talks, women’s health resources and blood pressure checks as part of International Women’s Day. The event is free and there’s no need to book, just drop in. There will be:

  • talks on pregnancy and preconception health, pelvic health, breast and
    cervical cancer screening
  • blood pressure checks
  • women’s health and wellbeing information, resources and more.

Timings of the day:

  • 11am to 12pm: Health talks
  • 12pm to 1pm: Market stalls with information from Maternity services, Vaccinations, Cancer screening, Community Champions, Sexual Health, Domestic Abuse, Africa Advocacy, HIV, Slimming world, MyTime Active
  • 1pm to 2pm: Health talks

Learning disability weight management programme drop-in session

Are you, or someone you know, an adult with learning disabilities? Do you want to get healthier, lose weight, and meet new people?

Join the Enable Learning Disability Weight Management Programme team for their drop-in session to learn more and sign up to their free 12-week weight management programme. Drop in at any time between 10am to 12pm and learn more about the programme and sign up for their April sessions.

Women’s group at the Wilderness

Monday 16 March (and returning monthly)
10am to 12pm
Wilderness Garden on Shirley Church Road in Shirley

To commemorate international Women’s Day, Reflections are opening up extra opportunities to join them in a new daytime women’s circle at the Wilderness Garden. Reflections is run by Lisa (a counsellor, psychotherapist and reiki master), and Bev from Woodland Mindfulness – Bev also runs the weekly Monday morning Art for well-being group at SJ’s in Coney Hall.

The sessions will include gentle therapeutic art activities, mindfulness and activities to support you in self discovery. Sessions are £30 and they’re inviting you to join them for either half price or buy one get one free with a friend.
