Bromley’s Household Support Fund

If you are struggling to pay your bills, you may be able to get help with essential costs from Bromley council’s Household Support Fund. This is a one-off award of £150, funded by the government. It could help if you’re struggling to afford things like:

  • energy and water bills
  • food
  • essential items

The objective of The Household Support Fund is to provide crisis support to vulnerable households in the most need with the cost of essentials.

Funds are available while they last or up until 31 March 2026.

If you have received support from the Household Support Fund in previous rounds, you can still apply now. You do not need to be receiving benefits to make an application. If you receive benefits, they will not be affected if you are awarded support from the Household Support Fund scheme.

To apply you must:

  • Be 16 or over
  • A Bromley borough resident
  • Have a Bromley postcode

In addition, you must provide evidence of:

  • Energy/utility arrears
  • Rent or mortgage arrears
  • Council Tax arrears
  • Other financial arrears
