The following roadworks are happening over the next few weeks. Plan ahead – pass it on!
Layhams Road, Keston
Road closure from Friday 2 January until Thursday 8 January
UK Power Networks (UKPN) will be completing electrical upgrade work at Layhams Road from Friday 2 January. The works have been split into two phases
- Phase 1 – Layhams Road will be closed outside The Metropolitan Police Dog Training Establishment from Friday 2 January until Tuesday 6 January. Local signed diversions will be in place for motorists.
- Phase 2 – Layhams Road will be closed outside Keston Mobile Park from Wednesday 7 January until Thursday 8 January. Local signed diversions will be in place for motorists.
These works have been delayed to start after Jewels Hill is re-opened and before Thames Water re-start their works at Leaves Green Road (see below).
Heathfield Road, Keston
Temporary signals from Monday 5 January until Wednesday 7 January
UK Power Networks (UKPN) will be working under temporary traffic signals at Heathfield Road, Keston from Monday 5 January for up to three days while they install a new electrical supply to a property.
Temporary signals will be in place in between the junctions of Fishponds Road and Leafy Grove. UKPN have agreed to manually operate the signals during peak times.
These works have been delayed to start after Jewels Hill is re-opened and before Thames Water re-start at Leaves Green Road.
Leaves Green Road, Keston
Thames Water Main Replacement Works from Friday 9 January
Thames Water will be re-starting their water main replacement work at Leaves Green Road, Keston from Friday 9 January.
They will start at the junction of Blackness Lane which will be managed under temporary traffic signals from Friday 9 January until mid February. The works on Leaves Green Road / Main Road are expected to be in place until the end of 2027.
Thames Water will be manually operating the signals at peak times.
Barnet Wood Road, Hayes
Gas main replacement work, Friday 9 January
SGN will be closing Barnet Wood Road, Hayes from Friday 2 January for gas main replacement work.
The road will be closed at the junction of Oakley Road for up to six weeks. Local signed diversions will be in place for motorists.
