London’s short film festival visits West Wickham

Social Cinema Bromley have been chosen as one of the venues for the 2026 London Short Film Festival. Social Cinema doesn’t have fancy reclining seats or state of the art surround sound, but they do have a love of film, the friendliest welcome and, most importantly, the people who go to their films have a great time…

On Friday 30th January, they will be showing a series of film shorts entitled British Lives

“…What does it mean to be British today? This collection of shorts presents a multifaceted look at contemporary British cultural identity, weaving together drama and documentary to reflect the many stories that shape the nation. We travel the length and breadth of the land, discovering nuances, eccentricities and creativity amongst its people, perhaps even also something darker.

We’ll travel from the Glasgow gig economy, to Sheffield’s vibrant electronic music scene. From the Scottish town that homes the Armstrong clan with Duncan Cowles (Silent Men), to fast-changing Cornish communities with Edward Rowe (Bait)…”

Films will be shown at Wickham Theatre Centre, on Corkscrew Hill. Find out more and book your ticket, quick.
