The councillors have let us know that Openreach will be working under temporary traffic signals at Hayes Lane, Hayes from Monday 8 December for up to three consecutive days while they complete fibre optic related works. Temporary traffic signals will be in place between 9:30am to 2:30pm each day.
The works will be in various locations between Ravensbourne School and Bromley Football Club.
New year closures on Layhams Road
They have also given advance notice of a closure on Layhams Road from Friday 2 January to Thursday 8 January 2026
UK Power Networks (UKPN) will be completing electrical upgrade work. The works have been split into two phases:
- Phase 1 – Layhams Road will be closed outside The Metropolitan Police Dog Training Establishment from Friday 2 January until Tuesday 2 January. Local signed diversions will be in place for motorists.
- Phase 2 – Layhams Road will be closed outside Keston Mobile Park from Wednesday 7 January until Thursday 8 January. Local signed diversions will be in place for motorists.
These works have been delayed to start after Jewels Hill is re-opened and before Thames Water re-start their works at Leaves Green Road.
