Social Cinema Bromley is a cinema with community at its heart. In their own words:
“We recognised the power of cinema and film to bring people together and make connections with people… We don’t have reclining seats, we don’t have state of the art full surround sound and image immersion technology, but we do have a love of film, the friendliest welcome – and the people who come to our films have a great time…”
Their next screening in West Wickham is on Friday 12 December, 7pm. Here’s what you need to know.

The Holdovers at Wickham Theatre Centre
Set in 1970 at a prestigious New England boarding school, The Holdovers follows Paul Hunham, a grumpy and unpopular classics teacher forced to supervise students who can’t go home for Christmas break.
Among them is Angus Tully, a bright but troubled teen, and Mary Lamb, the school’s cook grieving the loss of her son in the Vietnam War. As the unlikely trio spends the holiday together, they embark on a journey of misadventures, emotional revelations, and unexpected bonding.
What begins as a bleak and lonely Christmas evolves into a heartwarming story of found family, healing, and the quiet power of human connection.
Doors open at 6:30pm and the film starts at 7pm. Pizza is available to buy on the night. Find out more and get your ticket.
