Hot on the heels of yesterday’s free music programme, is a news of FREE, weekly inclusive multi-sport and cricket session for those with disabilities taking place at Kent Cricket’s stomping ground: the Beckenham County Ground. The sessions are a chance for kids to let their hair down after school, by playing fun adapted games, learning cricket skills and making friends, all while building their confidence through some friendly competitiveness!
What can you expect from a Super 1s Session?
- Games, Games, Games – a chance to have fun and get your body moving in whatever way suits you
- Prizes and Glory – a chance to win small prizes/rewards and celebrate the effort you give with certificates
- Levelling Up Skills – a chance to learn new skills and build confidence at your own pace
- LOLs – lots of laughs! Spend time with our friendly coaches who will help you shine and meet new friends
- Chill Vibes – a relaxed, inclusive space built on encouragement, where you can be YOU
PLUS: Parents! A Chance to Relax
60mins where your child can play safely, supported by specialist coaches – and you can have a cuppa and chat with other parents.
Sound good? Join them! You’ll fit right in if:
- you are aged 12-25 and have a disability or additional need (they are flexible on age though!)
- you have no background in cricket or if cricket is your thing! All abilities, backgrounds, and experience welcome
- you are riding solo – we will introduce you to lots of new friends! Or are you Mr/Ms Popular? Bring your mates!
- you are located in Bromley – those further afield wanting an adventure are welcome!
- Able-bodied siblings are also hugely welcome to join the fun and have some friendly family competition!
