RSPB Bromley: events this month

RSPB Bromley are a friendly membership group bringing people together to enjoy and learn about wildlife. They have monthly programmes of entertaining talks, free local walks and day trips to the best nature reserves. All their events are open to everyone, of all ages – members and non-members, wildlife experts and absolute beginners.

This month, there’s an evening talk and a coach trip planned:

Evening talk: Looking after a small woodland

By Martin Garwood
Wednesday 12 November

Martin is a teacher, naturalist and photographer, and owns his own woodland nature reserve near Tonbridge. He’ll explain how he took an overgrown and not particularly wildlife-rich area and managed it by opening the canopy to let light in, as well as clearing ground to encourage wildflowers, resulting in an increase in species including breeding owls.
