RAF Biggin Hill Museum & Chapel, tells the story of Britain’s most famous fighter station through the personal experiences of those who served there, and the community that supported them. The museum is situated on the same site as St George’s RAF Chapel of Remembrance, built in 1951 to preserve the legacy of those who served and died at Biggin Hill during the Second World War.
This Saturday, 20th September, there’s a Battle of Britain Day celebration:
- Merlin Heritage will be firing up the Merlin Engine
- The Carers in Harmony Choir will be singing in the chapel
- 2427 Biggin Hill Squadron ATC Band will be playing
- There’ll be talks by the volunteers
- The Nightingale Cafe at Biggin Hill Memorial Museum will doing some lovely food!
The site will be free to enter, but usual Museum admission fees apply. (Note: There’s no parking on-site)

- Volunteer Talk in the Museum at: 10:45, 11:45, 12:45, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00 (Museum Admission Fees Apply)
