On Friday 25 July, Councillor Jonathan Andrews, Mayor of Bromley, will be visiting Coney Hall Recreation Ground. He’ll be there to officially open the new MUGA – a brilliant new multi-use games area, which has goals for both football and basketball.

The MUGA has been built as Phase Two of the ambitious Friends of Coney Hall Park Play for All project. In total they’ve raised an incredible £87,000 for the park:
- £32,000 from Bromley Council
- £20,000 from the National Lottery
- The rest from local residents and businesses who have supported them
The committee members responsible for the fundraising are all volunteers who care about the park and want to provide better facilities for local residents and park users. It’s an amazing achievement after so many years of fundraising.
A celebration picnic
To celebrate the completion of the project there will be a family picnic in the park, starting at noon on Friday 25 July. The Mayor will officially open the MUGA at approximately 12:30pm. You’re invited to join in the fun and take a picnic of your own. Do pop down, see the shiny new facilities, say hello to the Mayor and meet other residents of Coney Hall.
