Changes to the council’s planning website

For anyone keeping track of planning applications – either their own, or ones that may affect them, Bromley Neighbourhood Watch Association’s newsletter included the following update:

Changes to Bromley Council website

Bromley Council has introduced a new case management system for planning and building control applications. This entails changes to the online planning website. Information may be found at: https://www.bromley.gov.uk/planning/new-planning-building-control-public-portal.

The ‘old’ Planning Public Register website (Planning Access) is currently being run in tandem with a ‘new’ planning website. Access will be split as follows:

  • Planning applications submitted before 6 June 2025 can be viewed on the ‘old’ planning website – https://searchapplications.bromley.gov.uk/online-applications/
  • Planning applications submitted from 7 June 2025 must be viewed on the ‘new’ website via a link on the opening page of the ‘old’ planning website.

The two planning websites will be run in tandem until mid-July. The new system will be live via the Bromley Council webpages and the old Public Register switched completely to the new system with all cases viewable there. Data from the old system will be migrated to the new system from mid-June to mid-July.
