On the Friday 30 May the local Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) will be running a stall between 11am to 2:30pm outside Hayes station. The idea is to help promote crime prevention, with a particular focus on theft of motor vehicles and theft from motor vehicles, ebikes/escooters and general vehicle safety.
As many of you know, vehicle crime is a problem in this area, and one we raised with the SNT and the councillors at our last meeting. If you’d like to raise the issue yourself – or have any other questions, do pop along for a chat.
Representatives from the Road Safety Team from Bromley Council will also be there, they can give advice on car and bike safety, parking issues, ebike/escooters and cycle proficiency classes.
The SNT is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving our community. The team is made up of officers based in our area (or ‘ward’), supported by additional officers from the wider area. They work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide the policing priorities for the area. They also hold regular drop-in sessions, and we post the dates here when we get them. Keep an eye out for the next ones.
