If you’re looking for something local and fun to do with your pre-school or primary school ages kids this half term, pop along to St John’s on Layhams Road this Tuesday, 27 May.
They’re holding a free craft afternoon event at the church. It runs from 2pm til 3.30pm and crafts include: friendship bracelets, summer paper chains, make your own bell ringer, paint a pebble, dino sun catcher and many more. Plus a there’s a creepy crawly hunt and games.
They ask for parents to be in attendance, which means you’ll meet other local parents too.
And if you’re wondering, our website editor (that’s me, hello) went to their recent open afternoon, and it was lovely. I’d never visited the church before, and not only was it interesting to look inside, everyone was very welcoming, open and kind. So why not give it a go?
