On Saturday 15 March TfL changed the timetable for the 138 bus. For much of the day, there are now just two busses an hour on the new timetable.
The 138 route starts at Bromley North, goes via Bromley South, Hayes and Chestnut Avenue before heading around Coney Hall.
For many people in Coney Hall the 138 forms part of our journey to work, to central London, or into Bromley for shopping or other activities. School children also use the bus to get to school. A good bus service is one of the ways we can reduce our dependency on cars and make our community cleaner and greener for our children.
We’re not aware of any consultations that informed the decision to reduce the service. As some residents have already expressed their concerns, we’ve raised the issue with our local councillors.
