Reporting fly-tipping: take action!

We’ve spotted a post on a local Facebook group about a people fly-tipping on Layhams Road. If you see it, report it.

Fly-tipping can be anything from a bunch of gas canisters (as reported on Facebook) to a black bag of domestic waste to a lorry load of construction waste. As well as damaging our environment, every year fly-tipping costs millions nationally to investigate and clear up.

Bromley have an ongoing campaign to stop fly-tipping. You’ll see on the council website that a resident has recently been prosecuted for dumping green waste.

If you see it, report it – and if it’s safe for you to do so, snap a photo or make a note of the number plate. It’s easy to complain, but reporting it takes the same amount of time, and it’s a lot more productive.
