Outdoor activities for kids this half-term

If you’re starting to think about things to do over half term, there’s a lot going on at High Elms Country Park. Bromley Council has established the Bromley Environmental Education Centre at High Elms (BEECHE), with environmental programmes for schools and public events in the school holidays. 

This half term the activities are:

Saturday 15 February
Guided bird walk (for juniors): 10am – 11:30am
Bug Club: 1:30pm – 2:30pm

Sunday 16 February
Woodland explorers: 10am – 11:30am
Pond Dipping: 2-3pm

Monday 17 February
Eco Craft: 10am – 11:30am
Owl Pellets: 2-3pm

Tuesday 18 February
Woodland explorers: 10am – 11:30am
Bug Bundle (all ages): 2-3pm

Wednesday 19 February
Build a bug hotel: 10am – 11:30am

Thursday 20 February
Bug Bundle (juniors): 10-11am

Friday 21 February
Pond Dipping (juniors): 10-11am
Owl Evening: 6pm – 8pm

Saturday 22 February
Bug Club: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Night Newt Walk: 5pm – 7pm

Sunday 23rd February
Bird Walk (adults): 10am – 12pm

And if you’re lucky enough to have time to yourself while the kids are occupied, there’s also a cafe in the park.
