Hayes Lane closed for urgent repairs

This is fast becoming a roadworks news service, sorry about that. Please do get in touch with other news, as we’d love to talk about something else! Please also note that this information comes from your councillors, via the council’s own Traffic Officer. As it’s a chain of information and we’re at the end of it, we sometimes get it late… Here’s the latest news we have:

Thames Water have closed Hayes Lane, while they continue with their emergency repairs.

The road was closed last Sunday and is likely to remain closed for up to one week. The point of the closure on Hayes Lane is between the entrance to Bromley Football Club and the Mead Way roundabout. Local signed diversions are in place via Mead Way, Pickhurst Lane, Westmoreland Road and Hayes Road in both directions.

The temporary traffic signals on the Mead Way roundabout are also still in place and are expected to remain in place until the works have been completed.

SGN were due to close Mead Way (at the junction with Pickhurst Lane) for gas main replacement works and have delayed closing Mead Way until Thames Water re-open Hayes Lane.
