Bromley Problem Solving Conference at The Warren on Friday 8th November. The aim of this conference is to bring together the community, police, partners and politicians to look at how we can all work collectively in a smarter way to get ahead of crime issues on the Borough, and use tried and tested problem solving techniques to sustainably tackle crime and break the cycle of responding after the event. We have a fantastic set of guest speakers including:

  • Mike Barton – former Chief Constable of Durham Constabulary who using a problem solving approach across the entire Force led them to an “Outstanding” grading across the board in every HMIC measure for 4 consecutive years. He will talk about his reflections on how he achieved this and advice on how we can adopt this here in Bromley.
  • Lucy Pilling – A Met Police behavioural scientist, who gives an excellent insight into how understanding human behaviour can allow police to meaningfully influence positive changes to prevent crime happening.
  • Chris Scott – A former Military leader with a 23 year career in special operations who will speak about maintaining resilience and positivity in challenging circumstances in order to help us as a partnership concentrate on how we can work together to provide a better service to the public.
  • Q&A Panel – All the above plus the local police SLT will form a panel to enable everyone present to ask questions with a view we can upskill the capability of the whole partnership to tackle crime here in Bromley
