If you’re a chess player, join the fun and friendly chess tournament in the Glades on 2 June. It’s open to all ages and abilities, and you can win prizes, make friends and show off your chess skills!
There are prizes to be won for:
- first and second place
- best woman or girl
- best junior
- best ‘my first tournament’
- and more!
Arrive and register by 10.45am on the day.
Play from 11am to 1.30pm: 7 games at 11am, 11.20, 11:40, etc.
Time control – 5 minutes plus 3 seconds per move. Three games per hour.
There will be refreshments and cake on sale during the event.
This event is a partnership between Conrad Chess (chess coaching, from our very own Coney Hall resident, Conrad Allison) and Bromley Greener and Cleaner. All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards keeping the much-loved Greener and Cleaner Hub open in the Glades.
Ticket price: £20. Free spaces available for those who need them.

And if you’re more the friendly board game type, join from 2pm for an afternoon of free fun and friendly competition: take your favourite board games or try out some of theirs.
